In order to meet the needs of the computer field, the Computer Science Department at LCC offers degrees and certificates in Computer Science.


The computer Science program offers an Associate of Science Degree that includes the study of computers and the methods of computer-based problem solving. This degree serves as the first two years of study toward a Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science and prepares students for jobs in the areas of hardware and software development, research and development of hardware and software, system programming, system analyst or software designer.

Computer Programmers and Technical Support Specialists earn between $39,713 - $55,138 per year according to a Computer World survey.
