Parsons, KS - The Hendershot Gallery at Labette Community College is proud to feature the pottery of artist Mark Strayer in its current exhibit, running from March 24 through April 25, 2025. The public is invited to visit and enjoy Strayer’s beautifully crafted pieces, which balance both design and functionality.

Based outside of Lamar, Missouri, Strayer creates all of his pottery in his home studio, where each piece is handcrafted, fired, and painted. In addition to this exhibit, his work is also available through his Etsy shop and at the Local Color Gallery in Joplin, Missouri.

“We are thrilled to host Mark Strayer’s pottery exhibit at the Hendershot Gallery,” said Burt Burcher, Art Professor at Labette Community College. “Mark’s work speaks to the beauty of handmade art, and we are proud to offer the community an opportunity to engage with his stunning pieces.”

The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., through April 25.

Hendershot Gallery is located at Labette Community College, 200 S. 14th St., Parsons, KS. For more information, please visit www.labette.edu.
