LCC Names PR and Foundation Directors

Lindi Forbes and Bethany Kendrick, current employees of Labette Community College, will change titles as of July 1. Forbes will become Director of Resource Development and Kendrick will become Director of Public Relations.

Forbes has served as the Director of Public Relations for six years and the Executive Director of Foundation & Alumni for four years. She began working at LCC in 2000 in the Public Relations department.

“The duties within the Foundation have increased and events like the annual Auction for Scholarships have expanded. The Foundation is also taking on new challenges within the next few years, and I am eager to be able to focus solely on the Foundation and its efforts to raise funds for student scholarships and campus improvements,” said Forbes.

Kendrick began working at LCC in 2002 in the Public Relations department as the Public Relations Specialist. She will now serve as the Director of Public Relations.

“This is an exciting time for Labette. The expansion of the main campus and the addition of the new satellite campus in Cherokee County are great opportunities for our students. I am excited to be part of this change and look forward to promoting LCC to future students,” Kendrick said.

Both Forbes and Kendrick are involved in many campus and community organizations. They are the advisors for the LCC Student Ambassador organization and teach Orientation courses to incoming freshman students.
