Jeff Vesta enters his sixth year as Head Coach for the Labette Community College Cardinals wrestling team and eighth year on the coaching staff. Coach Vesta is originally from Manhattan, KS where he was a 6A high school state champion and 3x finalist. He was also a 6x Fargo All-American earning three in Freestyle and three in Greco-Roman. After graduating high school Coach Vesta went on to Neosho County Community College, where he obtained an All-American status as a redshirt freshman placing 4th at nationals. In Coach Vesta's final season at Neosho he won an individual National Championship at 125lbs while also receiving his associated degree in liberal arts. After graduating from Neosho County he attended Newberry College a Division ll wrestling program where he captured another All-American title making him a 3x College All-American. In his final year at Newberry Coach Vesta was a graduate assistant coach for the wrestling team. In May of 2015 he graduated from Newberry College with his Bachelor's Degree in Leisure Services and Physical Education. In May 2019 he graduated from Pitt State University with his Master's degree in Sport Management.
