February 20, 2023 |
Parsons, KS – The Labette Community College (LCC) Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from current LCC students, prospective LCC students, and high school seniors for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. Students must apply by March 1, 2023, for consideration. The online application is available at www.labette.edu/financialaid/scholarships.html.
“The committee will award hundreds of scholarships, which have been established by caring individuals who want to help students reach their goals,” stated Lindi Forbes, Foundation and Alumni Association Executive Director. “Last year, the LCC Foundation provided $128,490 to students to help pay for tuition fees, and books. Funding comes from endowment scholarships, and proceeds from the Auction for Scholarships each year.”
There are also a variety of institutional scholarships available for application at www.labette.edu/financialaid/scholarships.html:
- Academic Scholarships are based on college or high school grade point average (GPA). High school students may apply for the scholarship to be used for the upcoming academic year following high school graduation, with renewal pending on grade performance and availability of funds.
- Labette County Resident Scholarships can provide tuition for up to sixteen credit hours per semester at LCC.
- Cardinal Academic Scholarships can provide tuition for up to 16 credit hours per semester to incoming in-state high school students with a high school GPA of 3.0, who live outside of Labette County.
- Cardinal Pathway Scholarship can provide tuition for up to 16 credit hours per semester to incoming high school students with a high school GPA of 3.5, who reside in bordering states.
