International Students


Thank you for your interest in Labette Community College (LCC). The information in this packet will provide you with all of the steps required for Admission. It is preferred that you apply for Admission and submit all required items at least three (3) months before the semester you plan to begin studies at LCC. International Student Checklist

  1. Complete the International Student Admissions Application

    • The Application for Admission must be submitted at least three months before the start of the semester in which the student wishes to enroll (unless the student is transferring from another institution from within the United States)  
  2. Submit an official copy of your High School/Secondary School academic transcripts

    • An English translation of the grades and grading scale. Translations may be accepted from an official equivalent translation company.
    • If student attended a high school in the United States, an Official copy of the High School transcript must be mailed to the College or send through electronic exchange such as National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment.
  3. English Proficiency Requirements: Submit evidence of English language proficiency

  4. Complete the Financial Support Form and provide required documentation.

    • Submit form with required proof as described on the first page of the form.
  5. Submit proof of health insurance

  6. Submit proof of Tuberculosis Testing if needed
    • Students entering Labette Community College who are from the countries listed below must have a Tuberculosis 2 Step Test or QuantiFERON Blood Test completed in the United States or Canada. 
      • Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, DR Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Russian Federation, South Africa, Thailand, Uganda, UR Tanzania, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe
  7. Submit copy of passport
    1. Provide a copy of the current passport.

Transfer Students (those who have previously attended another US college)

  1. Complete steps 1-7 above
  2. Send Official transcript from previous College/University
  3. Complete the Transfer Request Form

I-20 Information:
The I-20 is a Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant Student Status for those who wish to study in the U.S. The I-20 form must be taken to the American Embassy or Consulate when you apply for a Visa. More info can be found on the SEVIS website.
