Benefit for the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Roof Renovation Project

Movie Night Flyer

Parsons, KS- Labette Community College (LCC) communication student, Zachary Collins, will host a movie night at the LCC Cardinal Event Center on April 22nd at 7 pm, featuring “I Can Only Imagine.” The Movie Night is designed to help raise funds for the renovation project of the St. Patrick’s Church roof.

In 2020, St. Patrick’s announced that the church roof was in dire need of repairs, otherwise it would cave into the church. The entire renovation project will cost up to $4.3 million. The church has raised more than half of the total amount needed for repairs, but there is still a long way to go. Suggested donations for the movie are $5 per adult and $4 per student under the age of 18. Donations include free popcorn and water. Any larger contributions will be accepted.

The movie, “I Can Only Imagine (2018),” is based on the inspiring true story of how Bart Millard, composer and lead singer of the Christian rock band MercyMe, brought the famous song to life. The movie reveals how Bart Millard renewed the broken relationship he had with his father and shows just how far the power of forgiveness can take you in life.
