Labette Community College (LCC) Respiratory Care Program Celebrates Respiratory Care Week by bringing awareness and recognition to the profession. LCC Respiratory student spends time in the simulation lab to experience hands-on patient care.

Labette Community College (LCC) Respiratory Care Program celebrated Respiratory Care Week, Oct.22-28. This annual observance brings awareness and recognition to respiratory care professionals and students. In observance of the week, LCC had an information table on the respiratory care program and fun activities.

The week is a testament to respiratory therapists' unity, dedication, and profound impact on patient care and healthcare.

Susan Stolte, Respiratory Care Program Director, and Tiffany Kotzman, Respiratory Care Instructor and Lab Coordinator spent the week spreading knowledge of respiratory care to career-seeking individuals at the Kansas Career Exposition.

LCC Respiratory Care students learn about the heart and lungs and how these organs affect the rest of the body. They learn how to care for those suffering from heart attacks, cardiac disorders, strokes, overdoses, car accidents, trauma, asthma, COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, patients who have just undergone surgery, and many other disease processes.
