Ron Freeman, Renowned Public Speaker, Author, and Former Professional Athlete, Delivers Inspiring Speech at LCC in Celebration of Black History Month

Parsons, KS – February 27, 2024 – Ron Freeman, esteemed public speaker, author, and former professional athlete, delivered an inspiring address at Labette Community College on Thursday, February 22, 2024, to celebrate Black History Month.

Freeman's illustrious career began at Pittsburg State University in Kansas, where he was awarded a football scholarship and earned his master's degree. Following his college tenure, Freeman went on to play professional football in the NFL as a proud member of the Kansas City Chiefs. However, it was his transition to the role of Urban Director for the Kansas City Fellowship of Christian Athletes where Freeman truly began to make his mark, dedicating himself to positively impacting local communities.

Freeman has become renowned for his motivational speaking engagements and insightful writings in recent years. He focuses on empowering individuals, advocating for equality and opportunities regardless of race, age, or gender, and encouraging a positive outlook on life.

"Every life has a purpose, and it's up to each of us to unlock our potential and embody the change we want to see in the world," says Freeman.

During his presentation at LCC, Freeman captivated the audience with his thoughts on leadership, identity, and empowerment. His words, "Learn to think like the person you want to be," resonated deeply with attendees, leaving a profound and lasting impact.
