Labette Community College Alumni Association Seeks Nominations for the 24th Annual Van Meter Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award

The Labette Community College (LCC) Alumni Association is calling for nominations for the 24th annual William and Allene Guthrie Van Meter Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award. This prestigious award recognizes LCC alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions and communities. To be considered for this year’s award, nominations should be received by August 12.
Eligible nominees must be LCC graduates who have been alumni for at least five years. Candidates should demonstrate notable accomplishments in their field of work and/or exhibit outstanding citizenship qualities that benefit their community, state, or nation. Ideally, nominees should be 50 years of age or younger at the time of the award presentation. The Van Meter Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award will be presented at the 25th annual Donor Appreciation Luncheon this fall.
Past honorees have distinguished themselves as leaders in business, healthcare, broadcasting, education, skilled trades, government, criminal justice, and the community. The LCC Alumni Association hopes for nominations that represent alumni across all of the colleges’ programs.
Anyone can nominate a Labette Community College alum for the Van Meter Alumni Award. The deadline for nominations is Monday, Aug. 12, 2024. The selection committee will review all nominations and select the honoree.
