Parsons, KS – Labette Community College (LCC) is proud to announce its participation in a new statewide articulation agreement with Fort Hays State University (FHSU) for students pursuing careers in psychology.
Through this agreement, LCC students who complete an Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in Psychology will be guaranteed admission into FHSU’s Bachelor’s and Master’s Psychology programs, provided they meet the minimum GPA requirements. This initiative aims to combat the critical shortage of clinical and school psychologists in the state of Kansas by developing a steady pipeline of qualified professionals.

“This partnership provides an incredible opportunity for our students to continue their education and make a real difference in their communities,” said LCC President Mark Watkins, who was part of the agreement discussions. “By removing barriers to advanced degrees and credentials, we are striving to meet this growing need in our state.”

Labette Community College remains committed to workforce development and continued education through strategic partnerships like this.
