Labette Community College FBLA Students Excel at Kansas State Leadership Conference

Parsons, KS – Labette Community College’s (LCC) Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate (FBLA) chapter showcased their skills and leadership at the Kansas State Leadership Conference this past Saturday at the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth. Several students earned top honors in their respective competitions, qualifying them for the National Leadership Conference set to take place this summer in Dallas, Texas.

The following LCC students received awards for their outstanding performance:

Tabitha Grant
1st Place – Foundations of Economics
2nd Place – Business Presentations
2nd Place – Foundations of Communications
4th Place – Business Communications

JJ Kendrick, Jr
4th Place – Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition (with teammate Tanihya Porter)
Recognized in Who’s Who in Kansas Future Business Leaders of America

Parker Manly
3rd Place – Foundations of Entrepreneurship

Tanihya Porter
1st Place – Foundations of Technology
4th Place – Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition (with teammate JJ Kendrick, Jr)
Recognized in Who’s Who in Kansas Future Business Leaders of America

In addition to competing, LCC students attended leadership workshops, listened to keynote speakers, and participated in electing the 2025-2026 state officers. Representing LCC as chapter voting delegates were Tabitha Grant and Natalee Lewis.

“It is always gives me great pride to see my students continue to succeed in their educational endeavors,” said Cathy Kibler, LCC Business Professor and FBLA Advisor.

LCC congratulates these students on their well-earned success and wishes them the best as they prepare for the National Leadership Conference.
