Labette Community College Wrestling Team Set to Compete at NJCAA Nationals

Parsons, KS – The Labette Community College Wrestling team is set to compete at the NJCAA National Championships this weekend, looking to make a strong showing on the national stage. Ranked 9th in the NJCAA and 15th in Open Mat polls, the Cardinals have had a standout season, finishing with a 14-7 dual record and qualifying all 10 weight classes at the South-Central District Championships.
Leading the team is freshman Jordan Cullors (141 lbs.), ranked #1 in the NJCAA, and sophomore Matthew Marcum (197 lbs.), a regional champion ranked #4 in NJCAA and #5 in Open Mat rankings. Wildcard qualifier Davion King (157 lbs.) also enters the tournament as a top competitor.
The tournament kicks off Friday, March 7, at 9:00 AM and continues Saturday at 9:30 AM, with all wrestlers competing on Saturday holding All-American status.
