LCC to host 36th Annual High School Art Competition & Exhibition April 30

Parsons, KS — Labette Community College will host its 36th Annual High School Art Competition & Exhibition on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Zetmeir Family Athletic Complex.

The annual event brings together student artwork from area high schools, featuring a wide range of mediums including painting, drawing, digital art, mixed media, 3D work, and photography.

Artwork will be on display and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Community members, parents, LCC employees and students are invited to come in and view the display.

The competition and exhibition provide high school students an opportunity to showcase their work, gain recognition, and experience a collegiate setting for the arts.

“The talent demonstrated by these high school students each year is incredible,” said LCC Graphic Design Professor, Melissa Kipp. “It’s so exciting to bring students together, celebrate their achievements, and connect them with a broader creative community.”
