After graduation, Minor plans on working as a Registered Nurse and is considering whether to pursue a possible Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
She credits her family as factors in her success: “I am a mother to four amazing boys and I have a very supportive husband and family. They are my inspiration to succeed.”
Other relationships essential to her success as a student have been her professors at LCC as well as her fellow nursing students.
Minor acknowledges her SSS participation, saying, “Student Support Services has helped me to navigate and apply for scholarships, like the Debbie Groff Book scholarship. Elizabeth Robinson, my SSS Advisor, has provided valuable help with study skills and proofreading. Everyone there is always friendly and willing to assist in any way possible. The tutoring staff is extremely knowledgeable and very easily accessible. The computer lab is a great resource.”
Minor adds, “I would recommend LCC to anyone looking to further their education. It is a welcoming place where you have every resource to succeed!”
