Welcome to the LCC Cherokee Center

The Cherokee Center was established by Labette Community College in 2008 to better serve students of southeast Kansas. It is conveniently located on the border of Cherokee and Crawford county at the intersection of US 69 & Hwy 400. LCC offers both general education and developmental courses. Courses include General Education, Elementary Education, Business, History, Math and Psychology in addition to many others. We also offer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course every semester. We can enroll you for classes offered by LCC at the main campus, online or at any extension site.

Placement Testing

For non-traditional students or those who have not taken an ACT test we offer ACCUPLACER placement testing. The ACCUPLACER test is an untimed placement test covering reading, english and math. Test scores will be used to place the student in the appropriate level course. View the Student Success Center Placement Testing page for more information.
