Adult Basic Ed Orientation Begins

Enrollment is now going on for students interested in earning their Kansas State High School diploma. Adult Basic Education classes will be held at Labette Community College. Students who are interested in completing work to obtain their Kansas State High School diploma or improve their basic skills should contact the LCC Student Success Center.
Class orientation begins July 11-13, 2017 from 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm, or 4pm-7pm, Tuesday through Thursday. Once participants have completed the orientation, class are held Monday through Thursday until the student has completed their goals. Instructors for the six-week course is Nancy Steinert and Nicohle Busnell.
Those 16 or 17 years of age must have been un-enrolled from high school and provide documentation of such. A valid ID or driver’s license, passport or military identification must also be provided. The cost for the class is $30 which covers WorkKeys Employment Skills Test and material fees, in addition to transition services. It is preferred that the $30 fee is paid prior to the first week of class. The GED test fee is $132 due when you register for the test.
