AE/GED Orientation Classes

Parsons, KS- Labette Community College will host a “Begin A New U” Adult Education (AE)/General Educational Development (GED) Orientation on July 7-9, 2019. The GED is a series of tests for individuals who have not earned a high school diploma. If the student passes the GED test, they earn a high school diploma from the Kansas Board of Regents.  
 
Adult Education has classes in self-sufficiency through educational prep for life success including:  vamping up your communication skills, employability skills, resume building, interview coaching, work ready certification, technology skills and basic skills.
 
Students will attend orientation classes July 7 - 9 and choose from class times; 9am – 11pm, 1pm – 3pm, or 4pm – 6pm. AE/GED classes will begin July 15, 2019, with a $30.00 material fee to be paid by the second week of classes. Classes are held in the Student Success Center in L103, on the Main Campus of Labette Community College.
