LCC Foundation Selling Masks to Benefit Capital Campaign

October 21, 2020

Parsons, KS- The Labette Community College Foundation is in the final stages of a multi-million dollar Pathways to the Future Athletic Complex capital campaign. All gifts will help the LCC Foundation more closely attain a challenge grant from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation, of Midland, TX toward the construction of the LCC Athletic and Wellness Complex. The Foundation will be selling LCC logo face masks as a way to encourage COVID-19 safety practices as well as benefiting the capital campaign.

"For a $20 donation you will receive one LCC mask of your choice or for a $50 donation you will get three masks. Donors may choose from three color choices of black, grey or camo,” said LCC Executive Foundation Director, Lindi Forbes. “All proceeds will help fund the Athletic and Academic Complex Capital Campaign and help us earn the $500,000 Mabee Foundation Grant."

The reusable two-layer face masks feature the official LCC logo, a metal nose frame and an adjustable ear piece with an interior filter pocket.

Private support for LCC’s capital campaign can come through outright gifts of cash, bequests, life insurance policies, gifts of real estate, and other giving mechanisms. Individuals or businesses can choose to give in a variety of ways, even to spread out payments up to five years. This makes the giving capacity larger and more feasible for more people.

LCC must raise $293,939 by January 14, 2021 to earn the grant from the Mabee Foundation of Midland, TX and complete the fundraising goal. LCC capital campaign donations or to order masks go to: www.labette.edu/foundation or with a check made payable to: LCC Foundation, 200 S. 14th Street Parsons, KS 67357.
