The Labette Community College (LCC) administration invites the Board of Trustees and community to attend the LCC 99th Commencement exercises on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 7:00 pm. The outdoor ceremony will be held at Forest Park Seaton Family Pavilion, 13th and Broadway, Parsons, Kansas. There will be approximately 700 chairs available for guests, but there is plenty of space for guests to bring their own chair.

The commencement ceremony will be lived streamed via the LCC Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LabetteCards.

Prior to the commencement ceremony, the public and members of the board are welcome to attend the Cardinal Citation Reception, honoring Dr. John F. Amos. The reception will be held at the Cardinal Event Center at 5:00 pm. The Citation Award is the highest honor bestowed upon individuals who made significant lifetime achievements in their profession, community, state, or nation.

LCC will honor Distinguished Alumni, Colonel Jeffery R. Locke, and Wanda “Wendy” M. Nutt with a luncheon on May 12, sponsored by the LCC Foundation and Alumni Association. The purpose of the Alumni Award is to honor, promote, and recognize living alumni who have distinguished themselves professionally, brought honor to LCC and/or made significant contributions of time and philanthropy to the College or their community.

In addition to the commencement exercises, the Health Sciences Education programs invite the board to attend the LCC Nursing pinning on Thursday, May 11 at 6:30 pm at the Parsons Municipal Auditorium and the Radiography pinning on May 12 at 5:00 pm in the Thiebuad Theater. Both pinning’s will be lived streamed via the LCC Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LabetteCards.
