LCC Foundation Seeks Prestigious Award Nominations
January 29, 2024 |
Labette Community College (LCC) Foundation and Alumni Association are accepting nominations for two prestigious annual awards - the Cardinal Citation Award (Citee) and the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2024. Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for one of these awards? If so, please take a moment to nominate them for one of these esteemed recognitions.
The Cardinal Citee Award is the most prestigious annual award presented to an individual jointly by the college and the LCC Alumni Association at Commencement in May. Nominees for the Cardinal Citee Award must be associated with the college, but they do not have to be graduates nor have attended LCC. The nominee must be alive and have made outstanding contributions to their profession, community, state, or country during a lifetime of service.
You can place your nomination for the Cardinal Citee online at https://www.labette.edu/foundation/cardinal-citation/nomination.html.
The Distinguished Alumni Award was created by the LCC Foundation and Alumni Association Board to recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves professionally, brought honor to Labette Community College, and/or made significant contributions of time and philanthropy to the College and/or their community.
To be eligible for the Distinguished Alumni Award, the nominee must be alive and have attended Labette Community College for one year (2 semesters). Nominations may come from faculty, staff, alums, or the community. The College President shall select this award, and nominees not selected may be reconsidered for future years. Nominees must be present to accept the award at a luncheon given in their honor on the day of commencement. Up to four awards may be presented annually.
Nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award are accepted online at https://www.labette.edu/foundation/distinguished-alumni/nomination.html.
An individual can nominate more than one person for either award. Nominations must be submitted by February 14, 2024. For more information or questions regarding nominations, contact Lindi Forbes in the LCC Foundation & Alumni office at (620) 820-1212.
