Thomas A. Duran
A brief introduction about myself. I have a Master of Arts in Communication from Pittsburg State University and 15 hours toward an Ed.S. Degree. I am a full-time professor at Labette Community College and I teach Communication courses in the Department of Communication. I have been full-time at Labette Community College since August of 2002 and enjoy all my teaching assignments.
I am originally from Colorado and have lived in Southeast Kansas since 1984. I try to spend at least one month out of the year in Colorado to catch up with family, friends and fishing. I also enjoy motorcycle riding, photography, playing my electric and my acoustic/classical guitars, and am an avid golfer.
Tonya D. Bell
I was born and raised in Neodesha, KS. I attended Pittsburg State University earning both my Bachelor of Arts and my Master of Arts in Communication.
My career in higher education began in 2000 and I cannot imagine doing anything else! I joined the team at Labette Community College in 2009 teaching full-time in the Communication Department. Currently I am teaching speech, public relations and advertising. Prior to LCC, my work in higher education included positions as a director of public relations, a director of enrollment management and marketing, and as a professional tutor for a student support services program.
I enjoy traveling, tap dancing, spending time with my kiddos - Bryce, Gage and Taelyn - and being a lifelong learner.
