LCC Radiography Students Compete at KSRT Conference

Parsons, KS- Labette Community College second year radiography students traveled to the 79th Annual Kansas Society Radiologic Conference & Competitions in Hays Kansas on April 9-10. Several LCC students placed during the competition events. The results are as follows:

Bria Maples - 1st place Scientific Exhibit featuring the topic: Desmoplastic Fibroma
Hunter Kellar - 2nd place Scientific Exhibit featuring the topic: Widow Maker of Coronary Artery of the Heart
Jill Troy 3rd place Scientific Exhibit featuring the topic: Osteosarcoma
Megan Herder – 1st Place for Lateral Scapula. Herder also received the Most Outstanding Image Award which is presented to the individual with the best image among all images submitted for all image competitions.
Jill Troy - 2nd Place for Lateral Scapula & 1st Place for RAO Stomach
Whitney Wolken – received honors for having the highest score on the written ray bowl examination among all student competitors.

“The students have worked diligently on presentations for the conference. Their preparation was reflected in their high placings,” said Gale Brown, LCC Director of Radiography. “I am proud of their accomplishments!”
