LCC Auction for Scholarships Sets Record High

The Labette Community College Foundation & Alumni Association hosted the 19th Annual Auction for Scholarships, a Kentucky Derby experience. The event, held Saturday, April 21 was themed after the Kentucky Derby horse race and many auction-goers dawned hats and bow-ties. The auction featured cash drawings, live and silent auctions, a gourmet dessert gallery and wine grab to raise over $53,000 for student scholarships. This amount is the most raised in the history of the event. The scholarships will be awarded for the 2018-19 academic year.
