LCC Junior Cardinal Painting & Clay Class

October 25, 2018

Parsons, KS—Labette Community College and a grant through the Union Pacific Foundation will offer a children’s painting and clay class, Jr. Cardinal Painting & Clay Class, at Labette Community College.

LCC Art Instructor John Ford has offered a Junior Cardinal Clay class with great success, and changed the focus of last year’s class to painting for children. This year, Ford, is offering as a combined class so participants have the opportunity to paint and sculpt. The free class is open to children ages 7-12. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from November 11-December 13, from 4-5:15pm in the Hughes Building, H109.

“Exposure to fine arts is important at a young age,” Ford said. “We are excited to partner with the UP Foundation so we can offer this program to local children without an enrollment fee.”

To register in the Jr. Cardinal Painting & Clay Class, call Melissa Bruce at 620-820-1273. Class size will be limited, so register early.
