LCC PBL Places at State Competition

Parsons, KS- The Labette Community College Phi Beta Lambda students attended the Kansas State Conference, at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. They earned spots as top finishers, securing a trip to compete at the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, TX in June. Phi Beta Lambda is a business organization for two and four year colleges.
All four LCC students in attendance competed in several categories finishing in the top three to ensure their spot at the National Leadership Conference:

Abbie Ford: 1st Place Marketing Concepts
1st Place Microeconomics
3rd Place Macroeconomics

2nd Place Job Interview
Who’s Who in Kansas Phi Beta Lambda recipients were: Carolyn Cassel, Abbie Ford, Chandler Gravett and Josie Smith.
“We returned to Parsons from the state competition with 11 awards and four students honored as Who’s Who in Kansas, so it was a successful weekend for LCC PBL!” said Cathy Kibler, LCC PBL Advisor. “These students represented LCC and the community very well.”
