Photo Release: Flashing Stop Signs Installed for safety

Photo: City of Parsons employees install new stop signs with flashing lights at the corners of 13th & Broadway. The Labette Community College Student Government Association cited safety as their first priority when requesting the addition of flashing stop signs from the Parsons City Commission. The crosswalks receive a substantial amount of foot traffic from students, faculty, and community members walking to the various buildings on campus, Forest Park, and the Parsons Recreational Center. Foot traffic at the intersection has increased due to the addition of on-campus housing for LCC.
