LCC PTK Collects Toiletries for Ronald McDonald House
April 19, 2021 |
The Labette Community College Phi Theta Kappa honor society is focusing a service project toward the Ronald McDonald House in Joplin, MO.
PTK assists with a project each year for the RMH of Joplin. Due to the pandemic, the honor society has changed the focus of the regularly scheduled in-person visits to a toiletry drive to benefit those staying at the RMH. The mission of the RMH is to provide a ‘home away from home’ for families of seriously ill children (0-21) and ill expectant mothers being treated at Freeman Health System and Mercy Hospital.
Travel sized toiletry items may be dropped off in the LCC Admissions office, the LCC Print Shop or in the Remnant Café, downtown Parsons. The collection will be until April 30.
