The Labette Community College Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate attended the State Leadership Conference at Pittsburg State University held March 5, 2023.  Four LCC students competed in various competitions with each qualifying to compete at the National Leadership Conference in June to be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

Taylore Hudgins earned first place in the State of Chapter Presentation. Braden Hale received second place in Information Management, and third place in Microeconomics.  Mackenzie Martin earned second place in Administrative Support Technology, and Who’s Who in Kansas Phi Beta Lambda.  Kameron White was recognized for Who’s Who in Kansas Phi Beta Lambda.

“The Business department at LCC is so proud of how hard these students have worked to receive these awards,” said Cathy Kibler, LCC FBLA Collegiate Advisor.  “The knowledge they have learned in business shows through the awards they have earned at the state level.”

The FBLA Collegiate organization (formerly known as Phi Beta Lambda) helps bridge the gap between the classroom and the business world by giving students an opportunity to learn first-hand about the business community.  For more information on LCC FBLA Collegiate you can email Cathy at cathyk@labette.edu.
