LCC Wrestling Team to Host Golf Tournament

Labette Community College (LCC) Wrestling Team is excited to announce the second annual golf tournament to benefit the Wrestling team program for the upcoming season. This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Prairie Ridge Golf Course. Tournament check in will begin at 8:00 am with tee off at 9:00 am. The format for the tournament is a four-player scramble with fees of $75 per player which includes green fees, cart rental, and lunch. Golf carts are limited so players who provide their own golf cart fee will be $60. Contact Aaron at Prairie Ridge Golf Course to register your team (620-)244-3454. Mulligans can be purchased at registration-3 for $20.
The day will also include prizes for longest drive on holes 4 and 13, closest to pin prize on holes 3 and 12, and a raffle stand at the Club house (including Limited Edition LCC Wrestling Watch). Last years, LCC Wrestling Team had eight qualifying individuals compete in the NJCAA National Wrestling Championships with one earning All-American status. “It is an honor to coach these young men, “stated Jeff Vesta, LCC Wrestling Coach. “They wrestled well all season and I look forward to working with our returning freshmen, who are learning discipline, confidence, and numerous life skills.
