5K Run for Scholarships to Help LCC Students

Parsons, KS- Lace up your sneakers for a great cause to help and support students further their education. Labette Community College (LCC) is hosting a 5K Run for Scholarships and 1K Fun Run/Walk, on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Pre-register and payment are available online at labette.edu/100. Registration/Donation fees for the 5K is $25.00 and the 1K is $15.00.
On the day of the run, registration will begin at 7:30 am and 5K starts at 8:00 am. The 1K Fun Run/Walk will start at 8:10 am. Both runs will begin at Heacock Avenue, south of the Public Swimming Pool.
The funds raised will go toward scholarships the LCC Foundation and Alumni Association provide to students.
“To commemorate LCC’s 100th Birthday the Foundation is giving away five $1,000 Centennial Scholarships,” stated Lindi Forbes, Foundation and Alumni Director. “Any student currently enrolled in at least six-credit hours at LCC, is eligible to enter to win.” Students can enter online at www.labette.edu/100.
For extra chances to win one of these incredible scholarships, students should attend the LCC’s 100th Birthday Bash on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Forest Park starting at 4:30 pm and register at the Foundation Booth.
