Labette Community College Announces 2024 Graduation and Pinning Ceremonies

Parsons, KS – Labette Community College (LCC) is proud to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2024 Commencement and Pinning Ceremonies. These events will celebrate the achievements of students in various disciplines. Family, friends, and community members are warmly invited to join in these celebrations to honor the hard work and success of LCC graduates.

The main commencement ceremony will be held on May 10 at 7 PM at the Forest Park, Seaton Family Pavilion. This event will bring together the LCC community in a grand celebration of academic achievements across all departments. In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be moved to the Municipal Auditorium.The specialized pinning ceremonies for our dedicated programs are scheduled as follows:

• Nursing Pinning Ceremony: May 9, 6:30 PM at the Municipal Auditorium.
• Respiratory Care Pinning Ceremony: May 10, 5 PM at the Carnegie Arts Center.
• Radiography Pinning Ceremony: May 10, 5 PM at the Thiebaud Theatre.

Each pinning ceremony is a significant tradition that symbolizes the transition from student to professional and highlights the specialized skills these remarkable graduates have acquired.

“We are immensely proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said LCC President Mark Watkins. “These ceremonies not only recognize their hard work and dedication but also the support from their families and our community. We look forward to celebrating together and witnessing the beginning of their promising futures.”

Another special event that occurs annually on commencement day, is the public reception for the Cardinal Citation Award recipient. Community members are invited to attend the reception to congratulate the 2024 Cardinal Citee, Robert (Bob) Bartelli, at 5PM on May 10 in the Cardinal Event Center, 1306 Main.
