LCC Foundation Seeks Nominations for Distinguished Alumni and Cardinal Citation Awards

The Labette Community College (LCC) Foundation and Alumni Association are thrilled to announce the opening of nominations for two prestigious annual awards: the Cardinal Citation Award and the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2025. If you know an exceptional individual whose contributions deserve recognition, please help us honor their achievements by nominating them for one of these esteemed awards.

The Cardinal Citation Award is the highest honor presented annually by the college and the LCC Alumni Association during the May Commencement ceremony. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their profession, community, state, or country throughout a lifetime of service. Nominees must be affiliated with LCC but do not need to be graduates or have attended the college. Nominees must also be living. The Distinguished Alumni Award celebrates LCC alumni who have excelled professionally, brought honor to Labette Community College, and/or made significant contributions of time and philanthropy to the college or their communities.

To qualify, nominees must be living and have attended LCC for at least one year (two semesters). Faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are encouraged to submit nominations. While the College President selects the award recipients, nominees not chosen will be reconsidered in subsequent years. Award recipients must attend a special luncheon in their honor on Commencement Day, where up to four awards may be presented annually.
