Had contact with 1,258 potential students during the Fall 2022 semester
274% increase in contact cards from visits
Over 460 students signed up for the High School College Planning Conference on November 2nd, which will feature 37 universities and colleges. Only 130 students attended last year.
Spring 2023 will focus on service area schools, schools with most contact cards, and schools with least contact cards
Visit Days are scheduled – Senior Day on February 23 and Junior Day on April 24

Met with Quapaw tribe in person. Discussed options
Invite tribes to Cardinal Connect or a specific event
Going to gather contact information on students who have indicated an affiliation with a tribe on the admission’s application

Admissions Staff attended high school award ceremonies in April and May
Personnel Changes in Admissions Office – new Director and new Recruiter. Looking at developing a Welcome Center area as well as systems for recruitment for Fall 2022

The short-term and long-term activities were determined during the past quarter. They were as follows:
Increase LCC’s Presence
Develop social media content with approval of PR) – thought behind this is to brainstorm on some creative posts that would align with LCC’s brand that are timely
Break into the home-school student market
Research/learn more about the Native American Tribal benefits and how LCC build off of the resources available to this diverse population.
Begin asking all-campus for help on recruiting events that have scheduling conflicts on days when Melissa and Kylie are already scheduled to visit other places. (ie: P/T conferences, athletic events, special fairs)
Improve the deliberate communication with prospective students
Review current daily procedure in Admissions – look for issues or what can be added or changed.
Check into developing a virtual “campus tour” video
September 2021
During the August 2021 inservice, the Recruitment Subcommittee met to begin brainstorming short-term and long-term activities to support the goals of the SEM Plan. The committee will narrow down the activities and begin to implement them in the next quarter.
June 2021
After the All LCC presentations explaining Strategic Enrollment Management to the faculty and staff, employees volunteered to serve on the various subcommittees.
An initial Recruitment Subcommittee meeting was held in May to begin discussions. The subcommittee did meet a second time during the summer.
Some simple activities to help with SEM goal attainment were created for the start of the Fall 2021 semester, such as the “Ask Me – How Can I Help?” buttons for staff.
