FBLA Collegiate Competition Results
2024 Kansas State Leadership Conference
LCC Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate (FBLA) attended the Kansas State Leadership Conference this past Saturday at Pittsburg State University and was quite successful! In addition to competing in several events throughout the day, we were able to listen to an LCC 1981 graduate, Dr. Mark L. Johnson, who gave a great workshop titled "The Power of Engagement". These students received the following awards to qualify to compete at the National Leadership Conference in June being held in Orlando, Florida.

2023 Kansas State Leadership Conference
The Labette Community College Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate attended the State Leadership Conference at Pittsburg State University held March 5, 2023. Four LCC students competed in various competitions with each qualifying to compete at the National Leadership Conference in June to be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

2022 Kansas State Leadership Conference
The Labette Community College Phi Beta Lambda business organization traveled to Emporia State University for the state leadership conference held March 5-6. Three LCC students attended the conference, each qualifying to compete at the National Leadership conference in Chicago, Illinois in June.
“Our students continue to qualify for the national conference each year. Their tenacity and work ethic impress me,” said PBL advisor, Cathy Kibler.

2021 Virtual State Leadership Conference
The Labette Community College Phi Beta Lambda members attended the virtual State Leadership Conference recently. Phi Beta Lambda is the business organization of the two year college.
Three LCC PBL students competed in nine events earning seven wins as well as two State designations. The results of the leadership conference awards are as follows:

2020 National Leadership Experience (NLE)
Peyton Simpson, earned a National Champion title by receiving first place in the Desktop Publishing competition. In addition to the National Champion title, Simpson earned third place nationally in the Public Speaking category.
2020 Kansas State Leadership Conference
Parsons, KS- The Labette Community College Phi Beta Lambda students attended the Kansas State Conference, in Emporia, KS. They earned spots as top finishers, securing a trip to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah in June. Phi Beta Lambda is a business organization for two and four year colleges.
All three LCC students in attendance competed in several categories finishing in the top three to ensure their spot at the National Leadership Conference:

2015 PBL National Leadership Conference
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), held its PBL National Leadership Conference in Chicago on June 24–27. Attending from Labette Community College were Ty Ellis, Kortney Kirkland, Orren Taylor, Shawna Yockey along with their Advisor, Cathy Kibler. Participants from across the United States attended this exciting conference to enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and participate in more than 55 business and business-related competitive events.

2015 Kansas State Conference
The Labette Community College Phi Beta Lambda students attended the Kansas State Conference, February 13-14 in Hays, KS. They earned spots as top finishers, securing a trip to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL in June. The students competed against approximately 90 students from ten other 2 and 4-year schools. Students were also able to engage in leadership techniques during breakout sessions which they learned about from speakers during the conference.
